Day 1: CUSCO (3350m.) – ABRA MALAGA (4350m.)– SAN
LUIS (300m.) – HUYRO TOWN (1500m.)
We’ll pick you up at your hotel, at 7:30 a.m. and will travel on a
private bus to the Malaga mountain pass. There, we’ll start our mountain
bike circuit, all the way down to the town of Huyro. On this route,
we’ll see archaeological centers like Huamanmarca (Inca construction),
as well as changing landscapes. It is a thrilling 4 hour downhill bike
ride combined with a stroll in the impressive jungle’s edge area, to
observe birds, medicinal plants, snakes, butterflies and exotic fruit
like passion fruit, grenades, papayas, avocadoes, tangerines, oranges,
as well as banana, coffee and coca plantations, as we’ll be able to pick
these fruit and enjoy their delicious taste. We’ll also visit local
families busy with their daily routine. Finally, we’ll set our camp at
2,220 m. above sea level.
Lunch and dinner are included.
Day 2: HUYRO TOWN (1500m.) – INCA CARCEL (2300m.) - SANTA TERESA (HUGO’S
LODGE - CAMP SITE) (1850m.).
Breakfast at 6:00 a.m. and then, we’ll start walking about 7 to 8 hours
by impressive jungle’s edge area, to observe birds, medicinal plants,
snakes, butterflies and exotic fruit, we’ll see impressive mountains
from Andes, on the way visit a extraordinary waterfalls and
archaeological centers its Inca Carcel (extraordinary construction into
forest), have box lunch in this place. Continue downhill we’ll see the
Vilcanota River, and arrive the lodge and visit to the thermal springs,
where we’ll enjoy a repairing bath in Cocalmayu Hot Spring. Later on,
we’ll have Dinner, in our second campsite.

Day 3: SANTA TERESA (1850m.) – AGUAS CALIENTES TOWN (2050m.) (MACHUPICCHU)
Breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and departure for a long walk at 7:30 a.m., as
we’ll proceed towards Mandor´s waterfalls, on a 5 hour walk on flat
terrain. On the way, we’ll see mountains like San Miguel and Putucusi,
visit Mandor´s waterfalls and have box lunch in Mandor pampa. Finally,
we’ll catch a sight of Machu Picchu´s impressive archaeological complex
and after lunch, we’ll move on to the village of Aguas Calientes, to
settle at our hostel.
Day 4: MACHUPICCHU (2430m.) – OLLANTAYTAMBO (2850m.) - CUSCO (BY
TRAIN & BUS)
After an early breakfast we will try to catch the first bus at 05:30 am
from Aguas Calientes to the city of Machu Picchu and will then arrive at
6:00am. The tour takes around 20 to 30 minutes. At this early morning we
will enjoy the Machu Picchu ruins while the sun slowly warm up the site
and the fug disappear. We will enjoy a guided 2 ½ hour visit of the
great Machu Picchu sanctuary-city, and after it is possible to visit the
complex at your own. There is an optional hike for the more energetic
and adventurous people in the group, to the top of the Huaynapicchu
Mountain - the pyramid-shaped peak that overlooks Machu Picchu. After
our visit, we will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes around 1:00
p.m.
